About The Book

Kids on Screen is a charming, brightly-colored book designed to educate young children about the positive and negative effects of electronic devices with screens. This book provides easy to follow advice based on the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics and serves as a great conversation starter between parents/teachers and children. Each page of the book is sectioned into two main parts:  text and images.

For older children, the text supplements the pictures.  To have the maximum impact, the book is written as if one peer is speaking with another peer.
For children not yet able to understand the full text, the images and speech bubbles located underneath can be used to ask simple questions to the child. This form of dialogic reading is enough to get the message across.

Kids on Screen is intended to be preventative by initiating the discussion about technology in order to avoid parent-child confrontations.  This book can give your child or student the power to take control of their screen use.
